We are interested as well, but with the ( literal) 5 folks we came across on the BF2Hub Discord we could not troubleshoot it, obviously, and none of us has Mac and is really interested to waste hours and hours for 5 users (again, literally). dmg install, native stuff as far as I remember there was a Battlefield 2 release by EA but I could just be making a huge blunder here, I don't see them releasing that lol. The login issue we're having on BF2Hub is when people use our windows installer through Wine.
) that have tried to play Battlefield 2 using BF2Hub (there's other projects too, not sure about their stance on Mac). I hope that you can find out maybe why the login isn't working on BF2Hub! That would solve the problems of the few handful of players (current number is up to 5 since 2016, so that also gives you a figure of the Mac playerbase after the Revive shutdown, really. So, yeah, this is kinda how far I can go.

That being said the game for Mac wasn't fully working either, it had its problems and so a separate software was developed to fix these problems after each run of the game but that software was not released either. the download mirror on Google Drive was taken down for copyright, they don't know where the files are stored but they know what they did to modify the game. I have already talked to one of the old Developers who worked on the Mac version and there are no good news. Oh man I am so happy to see you back, you're the only one who could do this! Login works on Linux though, so that's the thing. You can play offline, the game works fine, but with BF2Hub you can't login online on Macintosh!
The only problem being, that the online account login does not work and a hanful of people have already tried and they all get stuck in the same menu. If you visit my bio you'll be able to sign up to our Community and download a new installer that will work on Linux and Mac using Wine, and you will also be able to install BF2Hub that way.
Hey Sam, happy to see you here, I remember you! No I don't know that specifically, but you're the man for this taks, for sure! You're the only one that can pull this off. I don't know if the later BF2 for Mac version they released was tied to their server or if others can be used
